Bill was aa good friend. For years I sang with Bill in the Amherst Male Glee Club (now the Red Blazer Men’s Chorus). Blessed with a beautiful Second Tenor voice, he was also a consummate comedian, participating in many Red Blazer Varieties skits. He was probably best remembered as The Little Old Lady on the Bench, reprising the Ruth Buzzi role of Laugh In fame.
My best to his family. He will be missed.

My family spent many summers renting a cottage at long beach near Bill and Marsha. My mother Carol, was lifelong friends with Marsha and Bill and we would spend time visiting with them while there, as well as back home here in Buffalo. I remember one of those summers my father “offering” his sons services to dig a basement under one of the cottages there and Bill and my father “supervised” while we labored away. I attended the funeral / service for Marsha, but know due to covid, the same honor cannot be done for Bill right now.
Please accept my families deepest condolences during this most difficult time.

It was always a fun time when Bill and the rest of the Southside “boys” got together to socialize. He was extremely witty and contributed to making our “Benevolent Society” meetings quite enjoyable. Our annual summer golf outing at his Canadian cottage never disappointed the guests and participants.
One of the most respected members of our faculty, he will not be forgotten.
Bill Klein, rest in peace my friend.

Am sending special prayers for you & family, Penny, as you grieve the loss of your husband & best friend. Though I haven’t known you & Billy very long, the loving relationship you two shared was so evident & so precious. When I think of Billy, I always have to smile or get tickled in some way at something funny he had said or merely at his natural comedic nature. He truly had a magnetic personality which allowed him to never meet a stranger.
His faith was uplifting to me & I cherish the privilege we shared in praying together.
He touched so many lives and we all will miss him terribly!
Stay strong sweet Penny & continue to embrace each moment of life we are honored with. God bless you & your family always!

It was always a great day when Patti said that Mr. Klein was coming to school to take her to lunch. I remember his smile and spunk when he walked into our classroom at South!! I’ll never forget that smile and how much Patti lit up when she saw her dad. That’s how I will remember him! Love to all…Patti, Jen, Mike and family!

Bill will be missed by all of his friends in the School Masters Bowling league. Even when he wasn’t able to bowl he would hang out and talk with all of his friends at bowling. I can’t remember Bill ever complaining about any of his medical problems but he would always ask how others where doing. Many times at Bowling he would have a simple but funny joke to tell which made us all laugh. What a great man who touched so many lives over the years.

Penny,
Our condolences go out to you and your family.
Bill was a very special man who made everyone he met feeling special too. He was a great tai chi teacher and friend. I will always remember all the laughs we shared and the memories made on the cruise we all took to Alaska.
