Vincent “Vinnie” J. Commisso passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 27, 2025.

Vinnie was born in Albany, New York on January 26, 1947 to late Vincenzo Commisso and Mary (Pasqualino) Commisso. He graduated in 1966 from Philip Schuyler High School.

Vinnie was a veteran of United States Army, having served in Vietnam from 1966 through 1968. Following his honorable discharge, he went to work for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier until his retirement in 2008, after 40 years of service. On June 21, 1975, Vinnie married Yvette (Martin) Commisso. Two years later, they welcomed a daughter, Kristina, into their lives. Kristina was her father’s pride and joy.

He enjoyed gardening, shooting pool with his friends, watching the New York Mets and going on many cruises with his wife, Yvette.

Vinnie was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife, Yvette of 49 years; daughter, Kristina (Kevin) Hingle; brothers, Joey (Patty deceased), Frank (Jody), Rocky (Theresa) and Dominick; sister, Carmella and many nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, cousins and many friends.

Vinnie was a sweet, gentle and kind man, loved by all his family and friends. We will miss him dearly.

A Funeral Mass and inurnment will be held in New York at a later date
