Tina Maria Sawyer (LaPointe) of Enfield, Connecticut and Green Turtle Cay, Bahamas passed away on February 17th, 2025.
She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on September 19th, 1957 to Francis LaPointe and Yuki LaPointe. She had been a resident of Green Turtle Cay, Bahamas for 13 years, previously from Suffield Connecticut. Tina Sawyer previously graduated from Enfield High School in Enfield Connecticut. She was married to Richard Sawyer for 13 years.
Tina’s boundless compassion and selfless generosity defined her character. She would move mountains to ease others’ burdens, whether that meant giving her last dollar to those in need or providing a warm meal to families during their difficult moments. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her unconditional love and support.
She is survived by her husband Richard Sawyer; children Alexander, Alannah and Angelique Justesen; father Francis LaPointe; brothers James LaPointe and Kent LaPointe; and granddaughter Elena Justesen.
She was predeceased by her mother Yuki LaPointe (Yamamoto).

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do.
