Thomas James Reid II

October 01, 1944 ~ November 12, 2020

Thomas James Reid II, Born: 10/1/44 in Chicago, Illinois. Died: 11/12/2020 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Surrounded by all of ‘his girls’ at 12:21 p.m. on 11/21/2020, Tom passed away knowing he was so loved. He died a Husband of 55 years, a Father of two daughters, a Grandfather of three, an unbeaten Lakeshore Michigan Track & Field “Hall of Famer”, Western Michigan University alumni, a retired “Special Needs” teacher, and a man who loved his family with his whole heart and soul.

We already miss the conversations on so many topics that he shared, his laugh, his love of music and his thirst to read and always learn about life. He died a man of integrity and great faith in his hope that he will soon be resurrected on a paradise earth and reunited with his family and others who share his faith. We are comforted to know that his Grand Creator, Jehovah God, will hold him in His memory until that promise is soon realized.

Tom’s family would like to thank the Sebastian congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for their loving support during this most difficult time. We want to give special thanks to Brother Chris Fasolino for officiating Tom’s memorial and for studying the Bible with Tom along with Brother Keith Shollenburger. Special thanks to the VNA Hospice of Indian River County, FL.

Until we are reunited, you are forever in our hearts.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
