Thomas Andrew “Andy” Sullivan

December 31, 1956 ~ December 25, 2020

Thomas Andrew (Andy) Sullivan of Wilmington, DE and Vero Beach, FL, died peacefully in his sleep Christmas night, December 25, 2020, at his home in Florida at the age of 63.
Andy was a 1974 graduate of Concord High School in Wilmington, and a 1978 graduate of the University of Delaware, with a B.S. degree in Accounting. Andy had a long successful career as a stockbroker, and at the time of his death was Sr. Vice President – Investments at UBS Financial Services. He was well known for his WDEL morning radio stock market broadcast, which he did for 35 years.
Andy was a lifelong Villanova basketball fan, and enjoyed watching the Wildcats, and all the Philadelphia professional sports teams with his children. Andy volunteered for many charities, including the MS Society and Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware. He was an active parishioner of St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Wilmington, and enjoyed running and bicycling. Above all, Andy had a kind spirit, positive personality, and always had a smile on his face. He will be missed by many.
Andy is predeceased by his parents, Thomas Andrew and Maryellen Sullivan, sister Ellen Miller, and daughter Meredith Sullivan. He is survived by his beloved wife and childhood sweetheart of many years, Kim Sokol Sullivan of Wilmington; children Jessica Sullivan of Philadelphia and Thomas Andrew Sullivan of Philadelphia; stepchildren Kyle (Meghan) Fritz of Baltimore, MD., and Kevin Fritz of Wellington, FL; sister Kathryn (Robert) Procopio of Wilmington, brother Charles (Virginia) Sullivan of Wilmington, brothers-in-law Jack Miller of Albany, NY, Tim (Linda) Sokol of Nies, MI and Jim (Michelle) Sokol of Chicago, IL; nine nieces and nephews: Christine (Stephen) Johnson, Richard Procopio, Thomas (Whitley) Procopio, Ashley Miller (Bill Schurmann), Clay Miller, MariAnne (Richard) Sullivan-Davis, Ruth Ann (Zachary) Rekos, Alex Sokol, and Preston Sokol; and four great nieces and nephews: Julian Johnson, Nicolas Johnson, Finley Schurmann, and Elle Schurmann.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Multiple Sclerosis Association for his brother Charles, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association for his stepson, Kevin.

I realize it has been 2 years since Andy sadly passed away, however, I was just informed today. He was such a sweet person and I am deeply saddened with the news that he is no longer with us. My sincere condolences to all of his family, friends and acquaintances.
