Teresa Diane Richardson passed away peacefully under hospice care in Vero Beach, FL on July 11, 2024 with family at her side. Teresa was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 29, 1959 but grew up in Lakeland, FL. As an adult, she moved and lived the rest of her life in the Vero Beach area. Teresa had scientific interests throughout her life, going to school for chemical engineering and later in life enjoying a career in quality control and inspection for Ocean Spray. She was musically inclined and music was always playing at home. She was a talented guitar player, very good with a keyboard, and her children loved hearing her sing and play. Her brother and children learned a lot about music from her. She enjoyed keeping up with technology throughout her life, and in later years she also enjoyed gaming, impressing the ‘kids’ with her knowledge of PC games and gaming personalities on Twitch.

It should be noted that she had a sharp, witty sense of humor that her children inherited. There are many times you could find her laughing with them in the living room over all kinds of things. Her laughter could make anyone smile.

Teresa was above all a dedicated, loving and caring soul to her family. An incredible daughter who maintained a good relationship with her parents and spent tremendous energy and time caring for them in their later years. An amazing sister who was always there for her brother. A wonderful mother who always made her children feel loved and supported.

There are not enough words to describe the beautiful person she was and what she meant to those around her.

Teresa is survived by her brother Stanley, her children Jennifer and David, and her granddaughter Alice. She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley A. Posey and Lula “Bea” Brown, who both passed just last year. She was and is incredibly loved and will be deeply missed.
