Terence Collins

March 09, 1957 ~ February 26, 2025

Terence Collins, 67, of Sebastian, Florida passed away on February 26, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on March 9, 1957, in Melrose Park, Illinois to the late William and Marian (Hogan) Collins.

Terence was known for his love of adventure, often exploring new places with his significant other, Virginia Smith. He was a dedicated member of the local Eagles Club and a faithful member of the Church of God in Sebastian, FL.

Terry had a knack for making people laugh, he always had a joke to tell and was never without a fun story to share. He enjoyed comedy shows, going on cruises, and spending time at Lake Okeechobee, where he loved to fish and relax. He adored his sweet dog, Lucy, who could often be found right by his side. Lucy would share a Boost drink with Terry each day.

After High School Terry moved to Texas and competed in the rodeo. When he returned to Illinois, he was a volunteer at the Clarendon Hills Fire Department, which became a full-time position. He had a side business working on lawnmowers. When moving to Florida he began working in the plumbing industry. After retiring he worked for a Storage Company and did maintenance jobs for the local residents.

Terence is survived by his significant other Virginia Smith; three siblings, Kathleen Collins Hamilton (David), Kevin Collins (JoAnn) and Mary Collins; children, Jeanette Collins Taylor (Todd), Kristina Collins Wessley (Christopher), Sarah Nicole Collins, and Daniel Kustra; 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sebastian, Florida.

Deuteronomy 31:8 – “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
