Sherry R. Riggs, 63, passed away January 8, 2023, at her home in Vero Beach, Florida.

She was born April 29, 1959, in Hollywood, Florida and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 24 years, coming from Pembroke Pines, FL.

Mrs. Riggs attended Florida State University and completed her physical therapy degree at Broward Community College. Most recently, she worked for Palm Garden Nursing and Rehab, in Vero Beach, and retired at 12 years of service.

Sherry was a true thalassophile (a person who loves and is magnetically attracted to the ocean and the sea). She enjoyed fishing, boating, diving and lobstering. Sherry also traveled the state to assist with destressed marine animals.

She leaves her memories to be cherished by her husband of 34 years, Timothy Riggs of Vero Beach; daughter, Keely Everhart of Vero Beach; son, Kyle Peters of Vero Beach; granddaughters, Jaelyn Everhart of Vero Beach and Harlow Peters of Vero Beach; brother, Craig Ruhl of Pembroke Pines and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Alice Ruhl and brother, Steve Ruhl.
