Sherrie Lynn Fox

July 01, 1957 ~ February 14, 2025

Sherrie Lynn Fox, 67, passed away on February 14, 2025, in Port Saint Lucie, Florida surrounded by the love of her children.

Born on July 1, 1957, in San Bernardino, California, Sherrie embraced a life of learning and adventure. After her father’s naval service, the family moved to Granville, Ohio, where she graduated from Granville High School in 1975. She pursued accounting at Columbus State Community College, which led to a distinguished career with DFAS before transitioning into the private sector with Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and Battelle. A true entrepreneur at heart, she and her husband owned multiple businesses over the years, including a bookstore, dress shop, accounting firms, and a boat cleaning service. However, her true passion emerged in retirement when she earned her real estate and broker’s licenses through the Florida Board of Realtors. Dedicated to her profession and community, she was nominated to serve on the board in recent years. Her warmth and kindness turned clients into lifelong friends.

Sherrie and her late husband, William C. Fox, shared an adventurous spirit that took them across the world. After their youngest daughter graduated high school, they sold everything to live aboard a 50-foot sailboat for ten years between Maryland, Florida, and the Bahamas—a testament to their love for exploration and freedom on the open sea. An animal lover at heart, Sherrie found joy in horseback riding and painting. She also delighted in Bingo nights and trips to Las Vegas to visit loved ones and try her luck at the slots.

She was preceded in death by her husband; William C. Fox; parents Virgil and Patricia Smith; and beloved Yorkshire terriers Mitzi, Laddie, Bentley, and Dede. She is survived by her siblings Michael and Roger Smith; children Misti (Todd) Spires, C.C. Fox, Dayna (Phillip) Fitch, and Mandy (Jason) Frost; grandchildren Kirsten Spires, Justin Spires, Alex Spires, Kaylyn Campos, Lauren Campos, Joslyn Campos, Madilyn Frost, and Jacob Fox; as well as her cherished dogs Luna and Letty.

Sherrie’s adventurous spirit, love for life, and beautiful smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
