Robert Lee Wesley, born as Ronald Wesley Oldham, 73 of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away under the care of his family and Treasure Coast Hospice in his home on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
Robert was born at Saint Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN on April 29, 1950 to Robert and Virginia Wesley Oldham.
Upon graduating from Warren High School at age 17, he enlisted in the United States Army. After training he was then shipped off to Vietnam for three tours over the span of five years. During his time in the military he served with special forces and was a member of the Military Police.
He attended several colleges and received many accolades including four Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Science.
While working for the Food and Drug Administration for 40 plus years, he became involved in the Knights of Columbus. He strived to reach the honor of The Grand Poopa.
Robert loved to express himself through art. He was quite the artist! He enjoyed listening to the finest music, all the way up to the end.
Robert was proceeded in death by his parents; brother Richie; sister, Roberta great grandson, Elijah; and brother-in-law Tom Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Oldham Wesley; son, Karl Lee; grandson, Travis Huffman; daughter, Melanie Oldham Brizendine (Zach); sons, Branden Oldham and Hunter Wesley; daughters, Tonja Freeman (Cuz) and Jeanette McIntyre; son, Darrell Oldham; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Margie Williams Debbie Lakin, Kathy Stapley; brother, Joe; nieces and nephews and many other loving family members.
