Rebecca Ann Bennett Fountain passed peacefully at 7:45AM, January 11, 2022, in Vero Beach. This is after 7 days under hospice care, during which she was visited by a plethora of family and friends. The third daughter of George and Maude Bennett born in Erwin, NC, September 16, 1946. Her soul has ascended to unite with her Lord, family and guiding light, Mother Theresa, whom she met April 1996 in Calcutta during her thirty-year career as a flight attendant.
She graduated Cum Laude from FSU with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December of 2003. Thereafter, she continued her spiritual ascent, shepherding her flock at Christ by the Sea and CBS. She was a shining star inside and out, eloquent, elegant, competitive, witty, passionate, the consummate life partner.
She was a kind, loving, compassionate friend to everyone who met her. She radiated joy and love, and always put others’ needs before her own. She was a great listener. Her large circle of friends loved her deeply and will miss her everyday. This circle widened in 2020 when she joined Oak Harbor Golf. Her friendships there were truly precious. Rebecca’s faith was strong and unwavering. She was not afraid of leaving this earth because she knew she would go to Heaven. Indeed she was a true inspiration to all who met her. Rebecca will forever be in our hearts.
Survived by Bill, her husband of 33 years. Her last request for all to meet again beside our Lord. Any memorial contributions may be made to the Samaritan’s Purse in her honor. May she rest in peace. Friends and family are encouraged to leave fond memories of Rebecca, and condolences to her family at www.millenniumcremationservice.com.
Our caring professionals are here to assist you and your family during this difficult time. We are available 24 hours, 7 days a week to assist in immediate arrangements or pre-arrangements.

To my dearest sister-in-law, Rebecca – you were a guiding light and in this troubled world, you were so needed. That you have gone to your peace with your Lord is the only solace that you have have left for those of us you left behind.
If we could only be half the person that you were, goodness and kindness, we would all be the better people.
May you rest in peace , dear sister, and know that you were and are deeply loved and sorely missed. Your suffering, which you bore so bravely, has now ended and you can rest.
Always with love,
Judy ( and husband Gary)

Rebecca was a very special person in our Fountain family.
She brought fun and laughter, she put up with our crazy reunions,
and adopted all of Bill’s extended family with joy.
But, she never left her true belief,
and lived a very spiritual life.
I will miss her, and the love she brought into our family.
Rest In Peace,
Your Sis,
Sue

Memories of Rebecca;
Keep them close, and
let them
encourage our best behaviour
allow us to be compassionate
follow her lead to humility
let them
bloom with laughter
freshen our spirit
shine in our hearts
and be there with her love.
Always,
Your ‘little brother’
Dave

Dear Rebecca, I was so so shocked beyond words to see that you had passed away. You were always one of my very best friends whom I will never forget. We had so many fun happy times over the years, and have often thought of those wonderful days. You were so incredibly intelligent, kind, thoughtful, hospitable, loving and angelical. My most sincere condolences to Bill and family. When we all get to Heaven, what a wonderful time it will be…Rest in peace, my dear sweet friend.

Oh, how I miss her!
We had so many things in common—Rebecca was like a sister to me.
I know where she is though—and I’ll see her again. I think she’s taking big painless breaths in heaven. ✝️

Rebecca was my very first Florida friend—I loved her right from the start—-and for some puzzling reason she loved me back.
I’ll never forget her sweet, Christian heart.
She was truly special. ✝️❤️
