Patricia Scattergood

Patricia Elliot Scattergood, forever young, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022.

Patricia was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Harold and Gladys (nee George) Elliot where she lived and worked before moving to Vero Beach, Florida. She became a permanent resident and married Alfred Scattergood in 1988.

Mrs. Scattergood originated the Orchid Isle Travel, Inc. in 1988. She was active in the First Church of God since 1989. There she served in many areas of the church including as an altar volunteer, greeter and as a sanctuary choir member for 10 years.

She became a member of the Rotary Club of Vero Beach in 1989, and received two Paul Harris awards in recognition of her dedicated efforts to the Rotary standards. She served on the Board of Directors for seven years and as Board Secretary for seven years. She was named Rotarian of the year in 2004 and 2010 for her service above self Rotarian standards.
Patricia is survived by her sisters; Gaye Bastin and Linda Elliot of Vero Beach; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rotary Club Charities Foundation PO Box 643224, Vero Beach, FL 32964.

A memorial celebrating Patricia’s life is being planned for at a later date.
