Maryanne Smith Bohlinger, 82, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the VNA Hospice House.

She was born May 22, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Richard and Anne Smith. Maryanne completed her undergraduate studies at Drexel University and earned a doctorate in retail merchandising from Temple University.

During her career, Mrs. Bohlinger was the head of the Marketing and Managements Department at the Community College of Philadelphia. She taught courses on retailing, buying, small business, textiles, advertising, management, fashion and authored five merchandising textbooks. Mrs. Bohlinger also owned and operated, along with her husband, Jerry Bohlinger, Bohlinger Inc., a manufacturing company located in Conshohocken, PA. Mrs. Bohlinger retired in 2000 and relocated to Vero Beach.Mrs. Bohlinger was an active volunteer at the Vero Beach Art Museum and served 20 years as VBMA docent. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and enjoying golfing and winter sports.

She leaves her memories to be cherished by her husband of 59 years, Jerry; her brother-in-law, Michael Bohlinger and his wife, Mary Anne; nephew, Michael Bohlinger Jr. and niece, Kelsey Bohlinger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 500 Iris Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32963.
