Marie Pagano, age 88, died as a result of a fall on May 5th, 2021 in Vero Beach, Florida, United States.
Marie is survived by her two sons, Paul Pagano, of Montgomery, NY his two daughters, Christine and Megan, of New York City, and also her son Jimmy Pagano of Rochester, NY and his daughter Aine Pagano. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pagano of Hyde Park, NY in June of 2016.
Marie Pagano was born on July 24th in 1932, to parents Vincent and Angelina Tranpani in Poughkeepsie, NY, and in 1955 married Joseph Pagano.
In 1965, she began a 20 year career at IBM in Poughkeepsie, working her way up to systems analyst, while simultaneously attending Marist College, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in English in 1977.
Marie was a kind and spirited woman. Everyone who knew Marie knew of her passion for politics, fashion, life, ethos, and food. Marie made a host of new friends wherever she went, including the local communities of Vista Gardens and Renaissance Assisted Living in Vero Beach FL, Hyde Park, NY and Poughkeepsie, NY. Marie’s kind heart and strong voice made her a definitive advocate for herself and others, with or without their consent.
She loved to socialize, shop, travel, cook and garden. She was truly loved wherever she went and will be remembered by all and missed dearly.
In lieu of traditional services the family invites friends and extended family to please write a fond memory or final thoughts in a letter addressed to The Pagano’s at 3 Phillips Dr. Hyde Park, New York, 12538. The family also welcomes donations made in her name to the Vanderbilt Mansion, at 4097 Albany Post Rd, Hyde Park, NY 12538.
