It is with great sadness we report that long time Vero Beach resident Lloyd “Chuck” Pickard passed away on Oct. 25 at the age of 99.
Chuck was married to his wife Lorraine for over 68 years and had one son, Chuck Pickard Jr. and daughter in law Leighellen, also of Vero Beach.
Chuck had an incredibly interesting life. He was a U.S. Combat Marine in WWII, serving in the Pacific, a Forestry Major at Massachusetts State, Stockbridge, a U.S. Forest Service Smokejumper in Missoula Mt., owned and operated a boys camp in Montana, served as a Ft. Lauderdale Police Detective Sgt., and was the owner of a Private Investigative Agency. Throughout his life he stayed active with projects for himself and others and was engaged with current events until his death.
Our caring professionals are here to assist you and your family during this difficult time. We are available 24 hours, 7 days a week to assist in immediate arrangements or pre-arrangements.

Chuck and Leigh, as I’ve said before. Words are insufficient to heal the pain and loss. Peace to you all.
