Kenneth Lee Moe

February 25, 1947 ~ July 09, 2024

Kenneth Lee Moe, 77, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away, Tuesday, July 9 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

He is survived by his wife, Kaydian Wehrle, and two sons, Christopher Moe of Berkeley, California, and Scott Moe of Concord, California, Scott’s wife Karen, their two children, Kyle and Amanda; his former wife Alida Comtois; sister-in-law Barbara Moe and her two daughters Pam Dunn and Pat Andrews.

Ken was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy Dates Moe and J. Edgar Moe, and his brother Richard.

Ken grew up and started his family in Danielson Connecticut, served in the US Army in Germany, and worked installing computer systems in hospitals throughout the country.

In the 80’s, his work moved him and his family to Illinois where their corner lot was the gathering place for the neighborhood. His job then took them to California’s Bay Area. Ken’s work took him many places, but he always stated that San Francisco was his favorite city in the US.

He semi-retired to Florida in 1995, where he made many incredible friends in Matlacha and Pine Island, sailing in the Sunday Sunfish regattas and walking his wonderful old yellow dogs, first dear Lucy, then sweet Bella.

If you’d like to honor Ken’s memory, please donate to a worthy dog or cat rescue organization.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
