Katherine Nash Ferguson passed away on June 10, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, FL.
She was born in Manhasset, NY in 1957 and raised by the late Robert G. Ferguson, Jr. and her step mother, Ursula Plepp Ferguson. She grew up in Manhasset before moving to Darien, CT where she would graduate from high school in 1975. She attended Smith College, from which she graduated in 1979. After college, Kathy began a long career at IBM. She started as a Sales Representative in New York City, and went on to hold numerous sales and marketing positions. She retired from IBM in 2020 after a 42-year career.
Katherine was a long-time resident of Wilton, CT where she and her husband raised their three daughters. While in Wilton, she was involved in education and extracurricular volunteering for all three of her daughters. She and her husband also built a lake home in Sharon, VT. This was a dream of Kathy’s after spending most of her childhood summers at a camp on a lake. Kathy loved to golf and was an avid sports fan. There was nothing better to her than a Sunday afternoon watching the New York Giants or a golf tournament.
Katherine is survived by her husband of 38 years, Tom Healey. She is survived by her three daughters: Grace Healey and her husband Steve Schnackenberg, Emily Healey and her fiancé Kyle Youmans, and Claire Healey. She is also survived by her grandson, Graham Schnackenberg, who she lovingly called Graham Cakes. Kathy is also survived by her brother Robert Ferguson.
As her husband Tom toasted on their wedding day 38 years ago: “here is to the once and future Kathy Ferguson.”
