John Signore, 72, of Fort Pierce, FL, passed away peacefully August 26, 2022.
John was born in Latina, Italy on June 6, 1950, to Joseph and Mary Signore. He was a resident of Fort Pierce for the last five years, leaving the cold, snowy winters of CT behind.
John was a PFC in the US Army. He then started his career as an accountant but did not like being confined in an office. He went on to work in construction and eventually started his own company that he ran successfully for many years. John moved to the Spanish Lakes Community where he found lots of new friends and a new love in Cheryl Connell. He thoroughly enjoyed retired life in FL.
An avid pickleball, tennis, and bocci player, John won several tournaments in his community. He always had a smile on his face and was always ready to have fun. He loved to dance, play board games, card games (especially hand and foot poker with the guys Thursday nights) and go to the arcades. He loved gathering with family and friends and cooking for them. If you left hungry, it was your own fault. One other thing John loved was coffee.
John is survived by his children: Stacy (Robert) Ashby and Michael Signore; his partner, Cheryl Connell; siblings: Anthony (Barbara) Signore and Joseph Signore; nephew, Anthony (Julie) Signore and their children: Sarah, Emma, and Anthony Signore; along with many loving friends.
John is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Signore, and wife, Dorothy Signore.
John was an amazing father and a loving family man. A fantastic friend and generous person. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Cheryl, So sorry for your loss. Bruce and I are thankful that we met him this past winter and was able to spend a lot of time with him, mostly on the courts. We became quite fond of him because of his gentle nature and fun loving ways he had on the courts. He will surely be missed by many.

John was my father-in-law for the past 15+ years. He always made me feel welcome in his home and his family from the first time I met him. A do anything for anyone who needed help kind of guy and just an all around gem of a person who will be missed dearly. Love you John.
