Joan M. Schreck

March 22, 1930 ~ July 21, 2020

Joan Schreck passed away on July 21, 2020. She went peacefully in her sleep at the Grace Nursing Home in Vero Beach where she had been a patient for only four months. She had been active in her husband, Charles H. Schreck Sr.’s, kitchen cabinet business until his death in 1995. From 1998 till 2010 she worked as a bookkeeper for a local CPA in Vero Beach. In her later years Joan developed both Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease. She Lived with her son, Charles H. Schreck Jr. who took care of her for the last ten years of her life.

Born Rochester New York on March 22,1930 she lived there until her senior year of high school. She was the third oldest of a family of four children, Albert, was her older brother and Linda and Louie were identical twins that made up a loving family for Albert and Hilda Quinton. Her father Albert Quinton had a heart attack in Joan’s senior year in high school. In those days one was told to move to Florida for a stress-free life and warm climate. In Florida she attended University of Miami where she received her bachelor’s degree.

Joan was the last surviving sibling from her family. She was going to turn to 91 on March 22, 2021. She had lived a full and beautiful life and had many friends and relatives.

Wherever she lived she was always loved and well respected. She will be missed by many.
