Janeth Ann Galitello

August 24, 1939 ~ April 16, 2025

Janeth Ann Galitello, 85, of Torrington, Connecticut passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Jan spent her last days at Treasure Care Hospice with her husband Ron, his sons Ron Jr and Clint and her sons Christopher, Michael and daughter in law Mary by her side.

Jan was born to the late Charles Rinaldi and Irene Linkkila on August 24, 1939, in Torrington. Janeth graduated from Torrington High School in 1957. Jan always had a station wagon or houseful of kids enjoying the next adventure.  Throughout her later years, she split her time between Connecticut and Florida before eventually relocating to Ft. Pierce, Florida, where she soaked up the sun.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Fondo; her children: Christopher Ferreira and his wife, Pam, of Maine, and Michael Ferreira and his wife, Mary, of Florida; her grandchildren: Kaelin and Kelsey Ferreira, of Florida; her sisters: Patricia Rinaldi and Charla Rondeau, of Connecticut, her eldest sister Lois in heaven, extended family numerous nieces and nephews, and too many neighborhood kids in Canton, CT to mention.

Jan will be remembered for her passion for family, bocce, her devotion to gardening, and her love for red wine and desserts!

A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date. Anyone wishing to send the family a message or share a story is asked to visit Jan’s memorial page at www.millenniumcremationservice.com.

In lieu of flowers please enjoy a glass of wine, a sweet dessert, along with a prayer for Jan.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
