Francis P. Luchini, 79, passed away on December 31, 2019 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida surrounded by his family.
He was born May 19, 1940 in Springfield, MA to Italo and Aurelia Luchini. Prior to retiring from the Telephone Company after 30 years he worked at his father’s store, The Van Horn Spa, on Hungry Hill. It was there where he met the love of his life, Judy. That love affair lasted 51 years. He was an avid Yankee fan and loved all sports especially hockey. He coached his son, Richard, in both hockey and baseball for the Van Horn Association.
He leaves his wife, Judy (Papanti) Luchini; 3 children, Richard Luchini and Kelly of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Joan Murphy and Michael of Wilbraham, MA, Laurie Foster and Dave of Vero Beach, FL. He is survived by his brothers, Richard Luchini of East Longmeadow, MA, and Robert Luchini and Joan of Wilmington, NC. He will also be missed by his beloved grandchildren, Jack, Gracie, Luca, and Hannah.
