Donna Shott Conner

January 03, 1958 ~ November 07, 2024

Donna S. Conner, 66, of Melbourne, Florida, previously of Richmond, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2024.  She grew up in Richmond. She met her husband of 44 years at a local bowling alley.  They shared two daughters, that were her pride and joy.

Donna loved to be outside, and you could most often find her getting her hands dirty, cultivating and learning the characteristics of her many, various plants.  She enjoyed planning neighborhood parties. She was compassionate, giving and kind, always putting others before herself.

She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Allison Shott.

She is survived by her husband Dave Conner; her daughters Rachel Conner and Brandie Conner; her brother Steve Shott; her sister Pam Horn (Winn); and several nieces and nephews.

Services to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation at www.komen.org.

Arrangements are under the direction of Millennium Cremation Service. Condolences may be shared online at www.millenniumcremationservice.com.

Donna was my middle school and beyond best friend. She had a heart of gold and loved her family. If I had to pick one character trait that she had it would be the love of helping others whatever that might have been. No request for help was ever too small or too big. She always rose to the occasion. I know because I witnessed this first hand as I watched her pour herself into her community and her friends. She is one of a kind and I know God blessed me the day we met. A true friend for life. See you again one day my friend. Love you forever.

We met Donna and Dave at Martinsville raceway. We spent many years going to race tracks together and became good friends that couldn’t wait till the next race to catch up. Always having the best of times. I miss those times. Life took us in different directions but we remained friends and I know she is going to be missed dearly! My condolences to Dave, Rachel and Brandie.

Pam and Steve, and your entire family, have my deepest sympathy, on Donna’s passing. I always remember your little sister, as having the biggest smile. I know how much she will be missed.

Donna and Dave lived next door to us in Richmond and she also raised my daughter from a newborn til she went to preschool. And believe me, that was no easy task. Call it colic or whatever, but Donna hung in there, with a napless baby that cried all the time – she gave her love and care, and helped to make her the woman she is today. I will always remember Donna with fond memories and my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
