Dave was born in Bryn Mawr, PA to parents Dick and Dell Morris, and passed away May 28, 2024 after a well-fought battle with cancer. One of 7 children, Dave grew up in Cincinnati, OH and Edina, MN. He went to trade school for commercial art and met his wife, Wendy, early in life. They shared a wonderful & blessed life together for 49 years and have two beautiful children; Jake Morris and Jenny Hitz. He began his career at Accraply, Inc. (Barry-Wehmiller Packaging) in Minneapolis, MN in the printing division and later moved into machine building & design, and then moved into sales, handling various territories in his long career, including international sales in Latin America, China & India. Dave and Wendy lived in Edina, MN until 1999 when they were transferred to Greenville, SC. After traveling extensively for work, he and Wendy moved preretirement to Vero Beach, FL, where they found their paradise.
Dave was a true Renaissance Man, highly skilled at problem solving & mechanical expertise, he loved fixing things (one of his favorite mottos was “measure twice, cut once). He also enjoyed golfing, boating/sailing, the beach & ocean as well as snorkeling, gardening/landscaping, BBQ’ing & most of all – time with his family. He was loved beyond measure by Wendy, Jake & Jenny (Lucas), Amy & Katherine (granddaughters). He is survived and so loved by siblings Steve Morris (Heide), Mike Morris (Ford), Ginny Borncamp (Rich), Sue Morris (Mark), John Morris (MaryJo), and Patty Schmaedeke (Steve), brother-in-law, Jay Thomas (Anna) and sister-in-law Tara Beyer (Steve), sister-in-law Nathalie Chagnon and brother-in-law Jay Ruebke and brother-in-law Zach Sikich (Jessica) as well as nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by father Dick Morris, mother Dell Morris, mother-in-law Thelma Thomas, father-in-law Al Sikich, brother-in-law Tim Dougherty and sister-in-law Steff Ruebke.
Our family is so very grateful for the love, care, support and prayers everyone has shown this past year and a half during Dave’s cancer journey.

Dave was such a gentle and caring person and I can’t remember ever meeting anyone that didn’t enjoy his easy-going demeanor. Even though life took us in different directions, I thought about him often throughout the years. My sincerest heartfelt condolences to Wendy and their children, the rest of his family, and friends. I will remember him for the rest of my days as well.
