It was an honor and blessing to get to know Vernon and see both Vernon and Carol’s faith give them the strength to carry thru this difficult chapter. They both were an encouragement as they remained faithful in spirit.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. We had so much fun together when you lived in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Remembering our days at Fat Harold’s. We know he suffered so much with this ugly disease and he handled it with so much courage. May God bless him, Carol and the family. Sincerely, Rudy and Anita Wooten

We remember Vernon fondly when we were in the same Sunday School class at King’s Baptist. He was always so cheerful and friendly.
We are very sorry for your loss and are thankful for the assurance that God treasures the death of His people, for in their passing He welcomes them home.

Vernon was a great friend at Delhaas HS.He was our football quarterback and was outstanding. At our 2013 class reunion at Langhorne Country Club, Vernon approached me at the very end-
I will never forget what he said to me. ” I love you John “.

Condolences to Vern’s family and friends. Knew Vern Jr thru Senior Highschool. We played on the football team and Vern was a true team player and good quarterback. He was always in a good mood and was quick to praise. On a recent phone call he thanked me for being on the team and helping him run good plays and protecting him from incoming opponents. Vern will be well remembered. RIP old friend.
