Robert “Rob” Wm. Pennington, III

May 26, 1986 ~ April 12, 2023

Robert William Pennington III (Rob), 36, of Okeechobee, FL, passed away April 12, 2023, of natural causes.
He was born in Charleston, WV, on May 26, 1986 to Robert William Pennington II and M. Christine Sizemore. He had been a resident of Ft. Pierce and Okeechobee, FL, since 2014 coming from Shrewsbury, WV.
Rob graduated from Riverside High School in 2004.
Rob was a fun-loving red-blooded proud American with a heart of gold.  He loved NASCAR, shooting guns, muddin’ on four-wheelers, country music, practical joking and playing with Macayla and her new pup Daisy, and nieces and nephew Eleanor, Evelyn and Alistair who lovingly called him ‘Rob-Rob.’ He earned a living as an accomplished and skillful welder who was quite proud of ‘dropping dimes’ and hated welding aluminum although much of his work was exactly that.
He is survived by his fiancé Emily Peterson and her daughter Macayla of Okeechobee; his mother and step-father Christine and Michael Whiteside of Port St. Lucie; his father Robert William Pennington II, of Shrewsbury, WV; his sister Sarah Elizabeth Pennington of Boston, MA; his step-sister Sarah Slocum of Exeter, NH; and his grandmother Moncia Jean Lynch of Malden, WV; as well as a huge and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers E.V. Sizemore and Robert William Pennington, and grandmother Alice Pennington.
At his request there will be no funeral service. Other arrangements are under the direction of Millennium Cremation Service. Condolences may be shared online at www.millenniumcremationservice.com

Chris, Mike, Sarah Beth, and Sarah,
It is hard to understand why Rob would have to leave this world at such a young age. My heart breaks with yours as I consider the void in your life that is left as a result of Rob’s passing. You loved Rob so very much, so I know your grief is as deep as your love. I pray that the God of All Comfort will give you strength and peace as you walk this unwanted path of sorrow. He knows, He cares, and He feels your pain. I pray He will wrap you up in His love and carry you through. You are dearly loved!

You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
Be kind to yourself and allow yourself time to grieve. Cherish the good times and wonderful memories and let them comfort you.
They say that great grief means there was great love so I know this is hard. I will always be available when you need to talk, to cry or just sit quietly. Sending you hugs and so much love.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
