Mark Edward Irving

February 16, 1960 ~ February 12, 2023

Mark Edward Irving, AKA Captain Mark, passed away on February 12, 2023 at the age of 62 in Vero Beach, Florida.  His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile.  Despite the pain, Mark stayed resilient and fought until the very end.

Mark was born on February 16, 1960 in Toronto, Canada to Ed and Marie Irving.  As a young man, he had many great accomplishments.  He graduated from Larne Park High School and attended Sheridan University.  Later, he chased his dreams and attended Brampton Flight Centre and Flying Club where he earned his Private Pilot License.  He also became a Vessel Captain earning an OUPV License and was then able to captain his own boat.  Mark knew after visiting Florida when he was a child that he would eventually move from Canada and live out his life in Florida.

Mark loved everything about airplanes and especially loved sharing that with others, even when they didn’t want to hear anymore.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to the beach and relaxing on his boat, selling luxury cars, and spending time with his beloved wife Tina, whom he married in May of 1996, and their animals.

Mark is survived by his wife, Tina Marie Irving of Vero Beach, FL, Brother Glenn (Susan) Irving of Canada, Brother Thomas Irving of Canada, Daughter Katlyn Irving of Melbourne, FL, Daughter Kristen (Jeff) Neeb of Norfolk Canada, Son Markus Irving of Brampton Canada, Daughter Tiffany (Anthony) Proffitt of Sidney, Ohio and Son Joe (Shannon) Gibson of Pine Level, NC.  Mark had many precious grandchildren of whom he loved dearly including Alicia, Cody, Cynthia, Kayla, Tanner, Chase, Derek, Mack, Cooper, Gavin, Carter, Katie and Finnley.  He also had four great-grandchildren including Ta’Kari, Ta’Hiry, Ta’Kai Boss and Gwyneth Powell.  Mark also had wonderful friends such as Steve and Lorna, Pete Seeinmetz, and Curtis and Cindy Yeagle, and Brian and Erica Yeagle.

Mark was preceded in death by his son Rickey D Gibson and parents Ed and Marie Irving as well as his beloved dog Roxy and possums Poncy and Columbus Irving.

A Go Fund Me has been established to help Mark’s family with funeral expenses.  https://www.gofundme.com/f/r2ava9-funeral-celebration-of-life-expenses?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
