Deborah Ann Francis House

February 28, 1961 ~ September 19, 2022

Deborah Ann Francis House born February 28, 1961, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2022. She was born in Albany, New York to the late Earl A. House and the late Patricia J. House of Albany, New York. Debbie graduated from Guilderland High School in Guilderland New York in 1979.

Debbie started a career in health care, then a change in life events, she moved to Florida in 1983. In Florida she changed careers and became the Animal Control Officer for the Indian River County in Florida. She continued in this role for nearly 20 years serving the community, developing manuals for animal control, and training new staff. Debbie then began another career for the county for the next 10 years until health issues forced her to retire.

Debbie was an animal enthusiast; in her spare time, she was certified to rehab wildlife. She occasionally assisted Sea World in Orlando, Florida to rescue sea turtles. On July 3, 1999, Debbie met the love of her life Marie Petrillo, and the two have been inseparable ever since. Debbie and Marie enjoyed, fishing, boating, going to the beach, making crafts, and caring for wildlife. Debbie is survived by her life partner Marie Petrillo of Vero Beach, Florida,  her brother Scott A. House of Malta, NY, her sister Bernadette M. House of Albany New York, cousins Mark House of Colonie, New York, William House III of Polk City, Florida, and half-sisters Anne Napolitano of Upstate NY, Liz Sweeney and many other half siblings and relatives. Debbie will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, love of animals, her savvy street smarts, her artistic abilities, worrying about others, and helping those in need. We would like to thank the staff at the Halifax CVICU and MICU floors, the transplant team at the Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, the Davita Dialysis Center in Vero Beach, Florida, and Hematologist, Dr. McGarry in Vero Beach,  Florida for their care, compassion, and expertise. Funeral mass will be scheduled by the family shortly.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
