Brenda Long Jackson, 73, of Vero Beach passed peacefully at home with her family around her on December 6th, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert E Long and Maggie Slaughter Long, sister Phyllis McCurry, and brother Robert E. Long, Jr. of NC. Left to miss her are daughter Maggie Anne Treilibs of Vero Beach, FL and son James Robert Jackson of NC; grandchildren: Darion Jackson and Jacob Starnes of Vero Beach, and Adrianna Compton, Willow Jackson, Tharon Jackson, and Chloe Parker of NC; great grandchildren: Macy and Landen Cheeseman, Aubrey and Charley Elliott of Vero Beach, FL; and sisters Rachel L. Parris and Angela L. Long of NC.

I am truly sorry that Brenda has left us I’m going to miss her so much I remember we just hang out together that was another lifetime ago.

Mom it’s been a long time since you left and went home . I miss you every single day . My heart aches for you. I’d give anything to smell you or hear your laugh or voice . You didn’t warn me how life would be so hard with out you . I know you are in a much better place this is the only reason I have not gone insane . Love you MOMMA❤️

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do.
