Ronald E. Dockery, 86, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away June 8, 2021, at VNA Hospice House.
He was born September 2, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 7 years, coming from Colorado.
Mr. Dockery received his master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts. He worked as a manager for the Community Blood Bank in Philadelphia and for the Philadelphia public school system. He later moved to San Diego and taught Media at Mission High School prior to his retirement.
Ronald was a Spiritual human, a Light bearer to his many family and friends and the wind beneath his wife, Nina’s, wings.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by wife of 40 years, Nina (Janet) Dockery of Vero Beach; children, Rondalyn Dockey of Philadelphia, honorable Steven (Janet) Fieldman of Colorado, and Tina (Matt) Suppinger of Connecticut; grandchildren, Ashley Palmer of Philadelphia, Montel Palmer of California, and Travis Fieldman of Colorado; great-granddaughter, Oliva of Philadelphia and sisters, Elaine Ashleigh of California and Muriel Wiggins of Charlottesville, VA. He was predeceased by his brothers, Dwight “Jackie” Dockery and Zander Dockery.
A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HALO No-Kill Rescue, www.halorescuefl.org, or to VNA and Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
