what a wonderful write up. It catches the total essence of Vicky. She will be terribly missed for her kindness, compassion and most of all for her joy in life and the ability to create an atmosphere of fun and gladness. Ahoy Vicky! I just hope they have martinis up there.

To Vicky’s daughters and family, I write this message through tears of sadness knowing that I will not have another opportunity to share a glass of wine with Vicky (or her favored martini), her infectious laugh, and her joie de vivre in everything she did throughout her life. She lived a life of privilege but it did not define her. Vicky found the positive in every person she met and every experience she encountered. Everyone from an infant to the aged were enchanted with Vicky because she took a sincere interest in them. She so adored ‘her girls’ and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She stayed up to date on what each of you were doing in your lives and was so incredibly proud of all of your accomplishments. Vicky loved snow skiing and sailing and made lifelong friends from her days in Sun Valley, Manhattan, Greenwich, Conn, S. FL and ME and she was always eager to introduce us to one another. Faith was so important to Vicky and she loved attending All Saints Episcopal Church w me when she wintered in S. FL. I take solace that she is now with her beloved parents and brother Milo and friends and my husband who came to love her as much as I did. Thank you Susan, Cindy, and Hope for sharing your extraordinary mother with us. She left an indelible mark on those privileged to meet her as I know she did on me. With love, Deb

Susie and Cindy,
Just found out about your mom’s passing. She was indeed a strikingly beautiful woman, something I was aware of even as a young kid back in those wonder years days of Chester, CT. It has been a long, long time but I remember her quite clearly and from the photo above would recognize her immediately if we passed in the street. The years did nothing to diminish her beauty. I am profoundly sorry for her passing and your loss. From what I recall she was a super cool mom. I hope you both find solace in a life although now over, well lived. Although not requested in her obit I’ve made a donation in her memory to the Schoodic Arts for All.
With sadness,
Dave Burr
