Jackie and family,
Cliff and I just learned of Marty’s passing. I can’t even find words to express our sorrow.
The day the two of you walked into our lives was one of the best days for my son. Through Marty’s love and your love Jackie, altered my son’s life forever. The two of you guided him into becoming the wonderful man he is today.
A very bright star was put out when Marty passed and he will be missed dearly but will live in our hearts and memories forever.
My Deepest Sympathy

So sorry to read of Marty’s passing. He just came to my mind this morning so I Googled his name. I was saddened to see he had passed.
Marty and I were classmates at Siena. We got to be best friends (Marty was a man easy to become best friends with) and shared many things together: especially girls. He would date this beautiful girl and then he’d meet another beauty. As testament to our closeness he’d always let me date the latest castoffs). I always am indebted Marty with starting my career in the USAF. In fact, the last time I saw him was in 1996 when he was stationed at Ft Sill and was stationed at Altus AFB, OK just 60 miles west. He had recently returned from ‘Nam and I almost didn’t recognize the ‘happy man I knew. After that I was transferred and lost contact until the obit I read this AM. I am heartened to see that he overcame any PTSD I witnessed those many years ago.
He was quite the man and I regret terribly to have lost touch all these years.
God bless his memory.

Jackie–I was thinking back to my 3/42nd and Fort Monmouth days today and decided to look for Marty. He was a great battalion commander, as well as collegue and friend at Ft Monmouth. I was saddened to see he had passed almost a year ago. I hope you receive this note and accept my deepest condolances. I have no doubt he is resting in peace.
God bless!
