After a short but courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at the VNA Hospice House on May 13th, 2020 at 9:09 pm at the age of 59. He was born June 28, 1960 in Chicago, IL to Jane and Normand Bertaut Sr. who preceded his death in 2010. He graduated from Queen Elizabeth High School and was a proud veteran who served his country in the United States Air Force. He was artistically talented, loved to play pool and bar games and had a very unique and uncanny sense of humor. Greg (Sue Ribic Cordoba) was loved by his 2 daughters, Michelle and Arielle. Proud Grandpa to Mya, Natalia, Julian and Isabella Giovannia and Kali. Cherished brother of Normand Jr. (Dorothy), Lisa, Linda, Margot (Chris), Bruce (Fiona) and Mark. He will be sadly missed by his Aunt Mary and Aunt Margot. Greg will also be missed by his long list of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Special thanks to the staff at VNA Hospice House.
God’s Garden
God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
And then He looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered “Peace be thine”.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hands.
Our caring professionals are here to assist you and your family during this difficult time. We are available 24 hours, 7 days a week to assist in immediate arrangements or pre-arrangements.

I have very fond memories of Greg when we were all teenagers living in Oakville. He was a talented artist and a good friend all those years ago. I knew Greg’s sisters as we all went to NDA.
My sincerest sympathies to the whole Bertaut family.
