Sean Michael O’Malley passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones April 20, 2020 after suffering complications from diabetes. Born January 17, 1971 in Cincinnati Ohio, he graduated from Princeton High School.
An award winning classical and jazz bassist, Sean Is remembered performing in orchestras, jazz bands and the Cincinnati Youth Symphony. Sean studied Russian language and culture in high school and participated in the first US/Russian High School student exchange program. College bound, his studies took him to the University of Wisconsin at Madison where he studied engineering and joined Sigma Phi Epsilon. Wanting to be nearer home he eventually graduated with his Bachelors degree from Indiana University. Following college, he joined Paramount Parks Inc. in an Information Technology position at Kings Island Amusement Park in Cincinnati and later was made IT Engineer to Paramount’s “Star Trek” attraction in the Las Vegas Hilton.
In 2004, he joined his nuclear family and maintained residency in Vero Beach, Florida.
Once in Vero Beach, Sean established employment with Harbor Federal Bank, now PNC Bank. Serving as an IT Consultant, he assisted many and was loved by all. He often expressed how he was fulfilled by his career and the wonderful people he worked with.
Sean’s quick wit and fun nature was the highlight of vacations, parties and family gatherings. A loving and loyal friend, his idiosyncrasies were widely known along with his infectious smile. An avid race fan, he especially looked forward to annual trips with his friends to Seebring and Daytona.
Sean is survived by his parents, Linda and George O’Malley, his sister and brother in law, Kristen and Chad, nephews Kaiden, Tyler and Dylan, loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends now considered family.
Sean is now with his beloved Welsh Terrier, Annie, and those who have preceded him. Our request, please raise a glass in celebration of his life..

Dear Linda, George and family,
Yes, Sean had a beautiful smile and a very dry sense of humor. One thing Don and I will always remember are Sunday morning breakfasts, with his family, that he always enjoyed and of course Annie, his cherished dog. We extend comfort and peace to you and that Sean is with God. Please accept our deep love and sympathy.

We were always so excited when we knew Sean was going to join us for camping, racing, football party or just a casual Saturday or Sunday hanging at the beach or at the pool. Sydni and I just hooked up our Wii from several years ago and there was Sean’s Mii that he created and it looks just like him. We miss him so much. I can say so much more, but I really want to pay my respects to his wonderful family. You brought him up perfectly and he will be remembered forever.

Linda, George, and Family: Sean will be missed by all. He can and will be with us through his love for Jazz music. I had two
major conversations with him regarding jazz . His appreciation for this art form and his understanding of it always amazed me. His deep love and enjoyment of the music world can remain in us through out our days when we sit down and listen to JAZZ…………………………..

Dear Linda & George
I remember sitting around the kitchen table after one of our openings at the gallery. Sean and I became friends and were so comfortable together. He was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor.
I know he suffered and went through so much pain. I know too that it was hard for you to go through this illness with him.
I wish I could help. As your dear friend I can only send you loving thoughts.
At least we know he is in a good place, in peace and no more pain. He will live on for all whose lives he touched.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Sean was a great guy and a pleasure to be around. His passion for his dog and his car lightened up his smile. That is the face I will remember.
Sad for those that cared about Sean but happy that he is out of pain, whole & healthy again and playing with his Annie.

I just seen this and I’m totally shocked and saddened. Sean was a great fella and I enjoyed the times I had the opportunity to work with him. I never knew all the amazing things that Sean had accomplished. I know if you read this buddy you will remember the few nights we spent eating at the Salad Wagon. Rest In Peace with “Annie” and prayers to your family and friends.

Dear Family of Sean,
John and I enjoyed seeing Sean and his black stingray corvette at various local car cruise nights. Sean was so proud to receive the stingray that was his Grandfather’s.
We also enjoyed our Keystone-Stonebridge HOA meetings with Sean. He was a wonderful neighbor and person.
