Ronald Henry Chambers

August 14, 1935 ~ March 26, 2025

Ronald Chambers 89, of Sebastian, Florida passed away March 26, 2025. Born in Staten Island, New York, August 14,1935, he was the son of Mary and George Chambers.

 

He is survived by his wife Kathleen Chambers; daughter, Patricia Gallagher of Sebastian; sons, Donald Chambers and his wife Pam of New Egypt, New Jersey, and Richard Chambers of Sebastian Florida; sister, Grace Caves of Indiana, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

 

Ronald joined the Air Force and met the love of his life, Kathleen Williams of Eastport, Long Island, NY on his 21st birthday in Westhampton, Long Island, NY where he was stationed. They married on August 2, 1958.

 

He worked at DuPont in Sayreville, New Jersey where he became a millwright. He also worked for General Motors in Trenton, New Jersey, as well as owning and operating his own trucking company at one point.

 

Ronald also had a photography business and built and operated two ice cream trucks. He loved to travel and see the vastness of the United States. He was a self-taught carpenter and built many pieces of furniture. He learned how to turn bowls and became a woodturner. Ronald had many stories of the adventures in his life and loved to tell them.
