Charles Robert Griffith

May 01, 1956 ~ November 11, 2024

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Robert Griffith, 68, a beloved partner, father, brother, and friend. Charles left this world on November 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and warmth that will never be forgotten.

Charles was born May 1, 1956, at the Patrick Air Force Base in Satellite Beach, FL. He filled our days with happiness, love, and joy. His kind spirit, quick wit, and compassionate nature made him a beloved figure in the lives of those who knew him. His heart was immense, his laughter contagious, and his presence irreplaceable.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis B. and Sara Griffith and by his brothers Billy and Jimbo Griffith, and his son William James Griffith.

Left to cherish Charles’ memory is his life partner, Carrie Anderson. His children: Stacey Griffith Price (Stephen), Jesse Griffith (Andrea), Charlie Griffith, and Anna Hammerli, who were the light of his life. His love and dedication to them were unwavering, and he took pride in watching them grow and thrive. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren  Liam Griffith, Ayden Griffith, Sebastian Griffith, Charlize Griffith, Grayson Price, Gabriella Price, Justin Armacost, and Caleb Armacost. Great-grandchildren include Luna Armacost, Liem Armacost, and Mason Armacost. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Rene, John, Tony, Jeannette, and Sarita, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Together, they shared countless memories, laughter, and love, building bonds that would last a lifetime.

Though his time with us was far too short, Charles touched countless lives and will forever be remembered for his generosity, his kindness, and his ability to make anyone feel at home. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

May his soul rest in peace, and may we carry his memory in our hearts forever.

I am so sad to find out the celebration of life will be on December 1 because I will be in California with family for the holiday season. I adored Charlie. I played pickle ball with him the last 2 1/2 years. He was such a great player. He always had a big smile on his face. His son and grandson would come many times. I’ve had meals with him and gone to Super Bowl parties with him and he was always so polite and kind and a gentleman. I will keep you all in my prayers, and of course, as others have said if you need anything, please call me. I am here for you all.

Agreed Charlie was an amazing person, I believe he “ bettered” people with his words. I was fortunate enough to know him through playing Pickleball and we had the best time. It was always fun being his partner because he played a hard game no matter what even if he was playing someone who is better than him or not as good as him he never changed his place. He is the only person, who actually would comment and tell me how I should be playing and what I can do to better my game and he would take his time and just explain it to me and he always made me feel so important when he would take his time to tell me how I should be what I should be doing, and I’ll never forget his patience … I know Charlie was a fighter just by knowing him the short time that I did, he would come to Pickleball after his chemo treatments and could not eat anything for days and let us all know that he wasn’t feeling so great, but he would still be playing hard …just an amazing person amazing soul, and I feel so honored to say that I did know him Charlie may rest in peace. Charlie know you are loved by everyones lives who you touch just by knowing them. My sincere condolences and thoughts go out to his family & love ones… I still feel his presence on the court as I know his family must still feel his presence next to them in in life always

The very first time I played pickle ball at Eau Galle Charlie played with me. I will always remember that day because I was terrible, and Charlie made me feel like I was great. He was one of the best players and I truly do not know anyone who could beat him on the courts. He always brought laughter and fun and had a winning personality. He will be greatly missed. All through his illness he still managed to play and kick butt on the courts. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his wonderful family and may God give them his peace and comfort.

Having known Charlie over 40 years, we all grew up and became adults together.
We had our own children, shared birthdays and holidays, played the MAD card game (oh how he loved to crush me in that game!!), and he so generously helped moved me from place to place many, many times.
Anytime I hear “What, me worry? You Worry!!” I will always grin and remember those good old days!

Charlie was a great soul and will be missed and forever remembered. He was always welcoming and made you feel like you had just seen each other a week ago. Our prayers are with him and his family.

I first met Charlie when I was a newbie pickleballer. He was kind-hearted welcomed me into the game. One time, while playing as his partner, I apologized for some bad hits & he said with a smile on his face & a twinkle in his eye “It’s only a game.” I knew he didn’t believe a word of it! It’s community, friends & a great addition to an already awesome life. Now, I get to tell the newbies what he once told me. Charlie was the one who everyone wanted to play with. Such a fun person to be around! Prayers & hugs for the family members. I know Charlie will be missed by many for a long time.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
