Donna Lee Parker, 69 of N. Hutchinson Island, FL passed peacefully on September 6. Donna was born on September 9, 1954, the loving daughter of the late Walter Kenneth and Mary “Jane” Latta, of Rockville, MD. Donna is survived by Edward W. Parker, her husband of 41 years, her brother Michael and (wife) Rebecca Latta, Dr. Anthony and Sandra (Parker) Mascia, the late William Parker Jr. and his wife Brenda (Pardoe) Parker, Francis Bayne (Aunt/Godmother), cousins Stephen and Deborah (Bayne) Manager, Sam and Lisa Bayne. William Parker III and Teri (Vogel) Parker, Meredith (Parker) and Richard Healey, Ryan and Nicole (Baker) Parker, Eric Mascia, Nathan and Tracy (Mascia) Loveland plus seven great nieces and nephews.
Donna graduated with honors from U of MD and earned her M.S. from Johns Hopkins. At 39 years old, she was diagnosed with brain cancer. In 1999 the couple relocated to from Maryland to Bayway Isles in St. Petersburg, FL During the next ten years Donna volunteered at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg, consoling end of life patients, while also caring for her parents.
She always looked forward, as she continued to spend time traveling, cooking and entertaining family and friends. Donna loved sailing the Chesapeake Bay, swimming or floating in the pool with an umbrella drink in hand, even an occasional round of golf.
In 2010 Donna was diagnosed with SMART Syndrome which she continued to fight until her passing.
She will be remembered for her courage love, kindness and support, as well as her playfulness and big smile. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.

She was a wonderful, nice and smart lady. Jerry and I had many good times with you even before our Bayway Homes were built.
