Vinnie Thomas Spera

February 04, 1955 ~ August 04, 2024

Vincent “Vinnie” Thomas Spera, age 62, of Fort Pierce, FL, transcended above on July 25th, 2024, leaving enough stockpile behind to keep his family comfortable in the event of a hurricane or zombie apocalypse.
Vinnie is survived by his supportive wife Elaine, who was the love of his life (a fact he’d remind you of while rocking in his chair). He is also survived by his children, Shauna (Mark) Baechle, Chad Snyders, Dustin (Trish) Veal, and Vincent Spera; grandchildren, Jesse Williams, Emmy Baechle, Max Baechle; sister Donna Baker, Terri (Gary) Vanvolkenburgh, Linda Nash, and Carol Lee Mutchler.
He is preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Juanita Spera, brothers Vincent Spera and Rick, and sister Karen.
Vinnie was a Veteran having served eight years in the United States Air Force and exiting as a crew chief. Upon exiting he’d meet the love of his life during a blind date set up by mutual friends, married for 30 years.
He worked in the security and armored trucking industry for over 30 years as a driver, coin vault supervisor, branch manager, and security officer, retiring at 62 from Allied Universal in West Palm Beach, FL.
He enjoyed hiking in Susquehanna State Park, Rock State Park, and wherever else he could adventure too. He loved it so much that he’d take his son, Vincent, only to get lost in the woods for an entire day and find his way out by nightfall. Vinnie loved boat models, plane models, and sketching. His favorite movies either had cowboys, gangsters, soldiers, or all three.
He was a renowned distributor of bear hugs to those he loved.
Vinnie died knowing that the Godfather was the best movie ever and that hot sauce was not a choice but an ingredient to add on every meal.
In his words when toasting to the party, “salute.”
At the request of the family, services will be private.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
