Catherine Mary Mozzetta

September 15, 1954 ~ July 23, 2024

Catherine Mary Mozzetta (White), of Micco, Florida, passed away on Tuesday July 23, 2024, with her family by her side.  Cathie, as she was affectionately known, was born to Mary and George White on September 15, 1954, in Somerville, Massachusetts, and was a beacon of light and warmth for all those who dearly loved her.

Catherine’s journey began in West Somerville, where she grew up with her mother and father, along with seven siblings.  Her childhood was filled with the simple joys of a large, tight knit family, in the Metro Boston area.

On February 26th, 1971, Catherine’s heart found its counterpart in Richard Mozzetta.  Rich and Cathie were married 5-years later in the Spring of 1976, at Saint Clement’s Parish, her family’s church.  Together, they began their own journey moving to Nashua, New Hampshire where they raised 3 remarkable boys who were Cathie’s pride and joy, and who will forever cherish her memories and comforting words.  Rich and Cathie then found their dream cottage on Lake Sunapee in Newbury, New Hampshire and fell in love with the region.  Soon afterwards they decided to relocate permanently from Nashua to Sunapee, and after many wonderful years, they retired to Micco, FL while returning for Summers in the Lake Sunapee area.  Their 48-year marriage is a testament to enduring & unconditional love to all those that they touched throughout the years.

Predeceased by her father and her older brother Michael, Catherine’s memory is honored by her devoted husband Richard; their children, Jeffrey & wife Kimberly of Voorheesville, NY, Stephen & fiancé Robin Anthony of Nashua, NH, Brian & wife Tiffany of Palm Bay, FL, along with 6 beloved grandchildren; Tyler, Dunovan, Marley, Nicholas, Dylan & Issabelle.  Catherine is also survived by her sister-in-law, Cheryl White of Wilmington, MA, brother’s; John & wife Carolyn of New London, NH, Raymond & wife Deanna of Tewksbury, MA, and sister’s; Christine & husband John McAdam of Stoneham, MA, Martha & husband Anthony Pantanella of Somerville, MA, Murielle & Daniel King of Claremont, NH, and Judy Callahan of Wilmington, MA, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are being arranged for friends and family near Somerville, MA and will be announced when available.

Memorial donations in Catherine’s name can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
