Kami Jo Creamer, 61, passed away on May 18, 2024. She was born to Barbara and James Creamer on January 3, 1963. After growing up in Flint, Michigan, she moved to Tucson, Arizona. There, she worked two jobs while earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona. She then moved to Hollywood, Florida where she worked as a devoted elementary school teacher while simultaneously earning her graduate degree from Nova University.
Kami was passionate about helping children learn. She was an independent thinker. She trusted her skill and instincts and relied on salient humor and persistence to successfully reach students, family, and friends. She spent her career working for Broward County Schools, first as a teacher, then as a speech language pathologist, and ultimately returning to the classroom where she felt her talents had the biggest impact. After her retirement in 2020, she moved full time to Sebastian, Florida.
Kami was a master adventure seeker, free spirit, and beautiful soul. She thrived on being in nature, fishing, and laughing. She loved easily and made friends wherever she went. She had the opportunity to travel extensively in the United States, Europe, and Mexico and never stopped searching for fun new experiences. She lived her life by the motto, “Work like a captain, play like a pirate.”
Kami is survived by her siblings, Kimberly (Ronald) Klee, Kendra (Timothy) Pyeatt, Kara Creamer, Cort Creamer; nieces and nephew (Things 1, 2, 3, and 4) Lindsay Klee, Lauren (John) Nemetz, Ethan and Ava Pyeatt; great nephews Finn and Bowie Nemetz; longtime boyfriend, Shannon Wallace and his daughter Kelly, close friend Dianne Dunchock, many cousins, and other special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and James Creamer.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial reception on Friday, June 21 from 2-4:30 at the Fenton Hotel (302 N. Leroy St., Fenton, MI 48430).

This loss found me struggling to believe it happened. I was missing her almost daily sharing of her adventures on FB. So thought something was amiss. She was blessed with a beautiful life, but it definitely came to an end way to early. My heart aches for her and her family. Love and HUGGS to you all.

This makes me so sad… I got the pleasure to meet Kami at a bar down in Sebastian and she loved that I went to Wvu… we ended up singing “country roads” and became besties that day! We have stayed in touch and I did love seeing all her adventures and beautiful yard posts! Fly high you free spirit! Sending hugs and prayers to her family.

Kami was family, is family. She is a beautiful soul. I loved her from the time she came into my life. She has been an amazing one of a kind person. She taught me to grow, love, and have fun. In my early years she made sure to show me the beauty she found around her so I could enjoy it too. Later and most recently she helped me in my journey to homeschooling 4 of my children. She spent so much time helping and loving people. Even after she did not have to be in touch with me she did. I love you Kami❤️. The grass is green, the sky is blue and God loves you. Love always
