Scott Chapman Palm Bay, Florida

April 28, 1957 – October 19, 2023

Scott Chapman passed from this life on October 19, 2023, at the age of 66.

Scott was born at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California. Scott grew up as a military dependent and enjoyed living in various places. He graduated from Satellite High School, Satellite Beach, Florida in 1976. He married his wife, Becki Frost Chapman, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 23, 1977, while attending Sooner Mechanical Trade School where he earned a degree as a certified pipe welder. He enjoyed that career until he completed a home study course on automobile customizing in December of 1980, and had found his passion in work and life. Scott, his father, and brother David ran a family business, Chapman’s Automotive, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. When his Dad retired, Scott started his own business, Scott’s Custom Bodyworks. In 1987, Scott and Becki along with their daughter Missy moved to Palm Bay, Florida. Scott had a wide variety of interests and usually had a project car going while also working at various dealership Bodyshop’s in the area. He always enjoyed fishing, playing his guitars, growing amaryllis flowers and pineapples and he was excited about the prospect of finally getting coconuts on the trees he planted several years ago. Scott had an easy laugh and a big heart. He was always a hard worker and diligent with whatever he undertook. He shared an infinite love with his daughter Missy. He will be greatly missed by “his girls“ and all those who love him.
Scott is survived by his wife, Becki, and daughter, Missy, and their loyal cat, Kitty, of Palm Bay, Florida, his brother Troy Chapman of Pawnee, Oklahoma and sister Janet Chapman of Stillwater, Oklahoma, many nieces and nephews across the states and extended family members, all of
whom he holds dear.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ginger Chapman, brother David, sisters Susan and Lisa and his niece, Valerie.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

You’ll be missed Scot. I remember high school days with you and Becki and all the fun we had. Being teenagers on the Air Force Base in Homestead gave us all an extra layer of closeness most kids never know. Rest easy now Scott

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
