Mary Beth (Schooler) Snyder

January 14, 1939 ~ September 10, 2023

Mary Beth (Schooler) Snyder passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 10, 2023 in Sebastian, Florida.

Mary Beth was born on January 14, 1939 and grew up on a ranch in Robert Lee, Texas with her late brother Weldon Schooler and many cousins.  Mary Beth took great pride in the fact that the Schoolers were one of the earliest ranching families in Coke County, Texas.

Mary Beth graduated from Texas Tech University and worked as an actuary in New Orleans, Houston and Dallas.  She and her late husband Glen Snyder lived in Athens, Texas for many years, while Glen maintained a CPA practice on the courthouse square.  After Glen retired, they moved to Georgetown, Texas to be near her granddaughter Taylor Boeckman, with whom she shared many travel adventures.

Mary Beth’s family expresses their appreciation to the staff at Pelican Landing Memory Care, and to her personal aide Kathleen McCusker, for their diligent and thoughtful care for Mary Beth in her last months.

Mary Beth is survived by her granddaughter, Taylor Boeckman, of New York, New York, the daughter of Mary Beth’s late daughter Michelle (Cherry) Boeckman.

Inurnment will take place at Austin Memorial Park in Austin, Texas at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (www.aspca.org).

Recent Reviews

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.
