Jim and Johnnie were both a great blessing to us in our twenty-eight years on staff at First Baptist Church, and both of our daughters had the privilege of being in Johnnie’s second grade classroom. We treasure the friendship and memories of these two wonderful people.

Aunt Johnnie was my mother’s sister. Aunt Johnnie was such a special aunt. We visited them in Florida most every year. The trip in the day was a 12+ hour trip in a car with no air conditioning and to top that off there were 6 of us in the car. Every minute of every trip was worth it to see Aunt Johnnie and Uncle Jim , Danny and Steve. Johnnie was the modern aunt who drove a VW Bug. She would take us to pick strawberries and bake the best strawberry pie ever. I have the recipe card for that pie from my mother’s recipe box and cherish it. I know it is hard to have someone you love leave this earth but it is comforting to know that my mother Lois is with her again and both of their minds are whole. Love to Steve and his family and Danny. Good times were good when we were young. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Steve and Danny,
Bill and I wish you much love and blessings at this time of great sorrow. Aunt Johnnie was a sweet loving aunt. I especially remember the moutain home when we were little children. Her pretty colorful plates. Sleeping in the basement. We all have wonderful memories of Aunt Johnnie and Uncle Jim. I pray that Johnnie, Jim and Lois are enjoying each other. God bless you and Danny. Wish we could be there.

Johnnie was our son Marvin Eugene McCrillis’s teacher in second grade at Rosewood School about 1964.
Johnnie invited me to join her Sunday School Class @ First Baptist, where she taught for many years.
My sincere sympathy to all her family. Nola McCrillis

What a wonderful Christian woman! Mrs. Patton in first grade, then Mrs. Sherwood in 2nd, gave me the most wonderful, encouraging start as a rambunctious, talkative little girl! I will always thank God for these ladies – and shall always remember them together, as loving, caring, gifted teachers through whom Jesus shined brightly!

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
